Ivonne Medina – Treatment Coordinator
Hi, my name is Ivonne and I am the Treatment Coordinator at Dental Care of Boca Raton. I’ve been a part of Dental Care of Boca Raton’s outstanding team since 1994.
I was born and raised in New York, and my family is from Puerto Rico. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy being a liaison between all our Hispanic clientele and the Doctors.
I’m married, and I have two handsome sons, Barry and Jason, and two cute female bichons, Pebbles and Misha. I enjoy traveling, and I Zumba twice a week to stay active and healthy.
My goal in our practice is to provide our patients with the utmost respect and courtesy, and help them to gather and understand any and all information necessary, thus enabling them to make the best decisions for their healthy, beautiful smiles for a lifetime.
Vanessa Robelto, Treatment Coordinator
Vanessa has eight years of experience in the dental field. She started as a dental assistant and currently hold the position as a Treatment Coordinator in our wonderful office. As a TCO she provides outstanding customer service to our new and existing patients by building personal relationships, working through treatment concerns and creating financial plans. She jumps out of bed with a big smile on her face each morning because she knows that each day she can make a difference in someone’s life by helping them achieve optimal dental health. She was born and raised in Colombia and has been living in the United States for about 15 years. She loves learning new things, having new adventures, and animals. She also likes staying active by working out, taking long walks, riding bikes and dancing. She enjoys reading books and watching movies. She’s currently enrolled in college finishing her bachelor’s degree in International Business and she’ll continue with her educational dreams for many years to come.
Vivilyn Royes – Administrative Assistant
Hi, my name is Vivilyn. I am an administrative assistant at the most wonderful dental office that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The Doctors and team have become my second family.
I moved to the United States from Jamaica in 1992, and I became a part of the team here at Dental Care of Boca Raton in 2002. It was the best decision I ever made for my career. The entire team is highly trained, very informative, professional, and extremely caring.
I believe that educating our patients about all that dentistry has to offer for their lives and helping them to make an informed decision is the best thing that I can help them with. I spend most of my time away from the office working out, playing tennis, and having fun with family and friends.
Karla Alemán – Clinical Department Lead
I was born and raised in Panama and came to the United States at the age of 19. I attended Dental Assisting School at Old Dominion University-Norfolk VA. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family. I joined the team at DCBR for a little over a year and have enjoyed each and every day since. What I love most about what I do is leading my team to collectively help our patients to have the ultimate experience.
Whitney Stokes – Front Desk
Hello, my name is Whitney Stokes and I am a Business Assistant here at Dental Care of Boca Raton. I have been blessed to be part of my DCBR family SINCE October 2017. This has been by far, one of my best experiences working in the dental field. I am a certified Dental Assistant, however front desk has truly captured my heart. From the one-on-one interaction with patients, building rapport and their trust in us as a practice is something I am very passionate about. Helping patients overcome their fears in dentist, or financial barriers, is what pushes me to strive to continue to touch lives in creating an opportunity for our patients to keep smiling.
Omar Santacruz – Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Omar A. Santacruz, and I am originally from Colombia, where I was a practicing dentist for 5 years. In 2005, I moved to the U.S. where I am now an expanded function dental assistant.
In 2012, Dr. Kagan gave me the opportunity to work for him. I am very happy helping our patients feel comfortable, and I bring 12 years of experience to making your visit the best it can be.
I am married and my wife is expecting our first child, a boy, in May. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, camping, and traveling.
Norja Watson – Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Norja. I am a dental assistant at Dental Care of Boca Raton. I have been with the office since 2010. The doctors and the team are wonderful to work with. I love that everyone keeps up with continuing education so that our techniques are always up-to-date and we are offering our patients the best dental care available today. Being able to help our patients create a beautiful smile makes my job worthwhile. I was originally born in Jamaica, but I have been in sunny South Florida for many years. In my free time I love to dance, travel, eat, and cook.
Cecilia Perez – Dental Assistant
Cecilia has been working at Dental Care of Boca Raton for six months as a Dental Assistant. She is originally from Argentina and graduated from the Universidad Central del Este – Dentistry – Rep Dominicana. She has a Dental Assistant degree from Concorde Institute in Florida. She enjoys the everyday experience of helping patients and assisting the doctors. She finds it very satisfying when she sees patients happy and pain free leaving our office. Outside of work, her hobbies include reading and going to the beach.
David Hall – Dental Assistant
My name is David Hall, I am a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions here at Dental Care of Boca Raton, having the ability to be part my DCBR family for over a year. Growing up, I always had a passion for automobiles. Soon after graduating high school, I explored my options and became an Automobile Technician. Not long afterwards, I went on and ventured into the field of Dentistry, where I found a new profound passion. I really enjoy calming and interacting with my patients, but above all taking part in their transformations is really life changing. Seeing patients smile is what keeps me motivated and also what keeps me driven to start my real estate company in the near future.
Elaine De Souza – Dental Assistant
Hello, my name is Elaine De Souza and I am originally from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro – RJ. I am an Extended Functions Dental Assistant and X-ray certified since 2015, and I have been working at Dental Care of Boca Raton since the beginning of 2017. I feel like part of the family in this office, everyone is dedicated and caring with each other, just what I wished for when I decided to work for them. I love the way the doctors educate patients about their oral hygiene. What makes me happy in the health field is to be able to see how much I am able to help patients and the doctors I work with. It is priceless for me. On my spare time I like to spend time with friends, go to the beach, ice skating, skiing.
Ellie – Dental Assistant
Eliete Galvao, or as everyone knows her, “Ellie,” is originally from Brazil. She received her dental degree from Univale Governador Valadares. She practiced dentistry for twelve years in Brazil. She moved to the U.S. on January 10th, 1989. She would travel a lot going back and forth from Brazil to Boston for 10 years until she sold her office and came to Miami in 2000. She now lives in Boca Raton with her husband and children, Michael and Kimberly. She started working as a dental assistant in the U.S. after receiving her Expanded Intra-oral Functions Certificate at Miami Institute of Medical Technology. She has worked as an assistant for 14 years and at our office for two years. She is very happy that with her experience and knowledge, she is able to help our doctors that give the best care for our patients. She ensures that patient’s appointments are comfortable and easy going so everything is achieved. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling as much as possible, gardening (she loves orchids), playing with her dog and going out for brunch with friends.
Patty Jordan – Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello, my name is Patty. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist, and I have been keeping your smile healthy here at Dental Care of Boca Raton since 1989. My favorite aspect of my career is keeping up with new technology and knowledge as our field of dentistry improves, providing our patients with the best possible care. My highest goal would be to help patients learn to take care of their teeth, so that they can keep their beautiful, healthy smile for a lifetime, ultimately becoming their own “hygienist” at home. This past year I have completed a 60-hour continuing education course in dental local anesthesia, which has certified me as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Florida to provide anesthetic for our patients and allowing us to treat our patients with even more improved comfort and care. I have two great boys that are super busy with lots of sports that include lacrosse, baseball, golf, and any other sport we have time for! Most of my time is spent driving them to practice and watching them play, When I am not working, I also volunteer at their school and spend any free minute I have with my boys and my extended family. I am married, and as a family we look forward to our time off together to travel and just have fun.
